Makeup Artist Slovenia

Brief & book

How to brief and book a makeup artist in Slovenia

A complete first message gets you an accurate quote in one reply. Here's what to include, and the questions worth asking before you confirm.

What to include in your first message

  1. Job type: film/TV/commercial, editorial, brand content, event or red carpet.
  2. Dates and times: shoot days, or the time you need to be ready.
  3. Location(s) in Slovenia, or abroad.
  4. Number of people in the chair, and how many looks each.
  5. Hair: needed or not, and for whom.
  6. On-site time: makeup before the start only, or touch-ups through the day.
  7. References: moodboard, treatment, outfit photos.

Call times

Work backward from the moment you need talent on set or out the door. Add time for setup, the chair itself, hair if needed, getting dressed and travel to the first location. Early calls are common for sunrise shoots in the mountains and on the coast; flag them in your first message.

Kit and lighting

Izidora brings her own professional kit and lights. On a production, it helps to know whether there's a dedicated makeup room or whether she'll be working from base camp or a vehicle, so the station can be set up accordingly.

Hair and makeup, and team size

One artist doing both hair and makeup works well for small casts and single-guest events. For bigger groups and tight windows, assistants and additional makeup artists join. Say how many people need to be ready by what time, and the team is planned from there.

Languages

Izidora works in English, Slovenian, Serbian/Croatian and some Russian, so she can talk to an international crew and to local talent, venues and location managers.

Travel within Slovenia

Slovenia is compact: most of the country, from the Alps to the coast, is within roughly two hours by car from Ljubljana. The artist comes to your location. Travel time and very early starts are factored into the quote, so always give the exact location.
