Fashion and editorial makeup in Slovenia
In editorial work the makeup serves the story. The clearer your creative direction, the closer the first look will be to what you imagined.
Izidora works on runway, editorial and fashion projects, and on campaign, content and personal branding shoots. Her work has included Paris, Milan and Ljubljana Fashion Weeks. Editorial makeup isn't about making someone look pretty: it's about matching the creative direction, the styling and the light.
How to brief an editorial shoot
- Moodboard with makeup and hair references, plus the overall mood of the story.
- Lighting: studio strobes, continuous light, natural daylight or mixed. This changes how much shine and color the face can carry.
- Number of looks and the order you'll shoot them in.
- Styling: colors and textures of the clothes, and any jewelry or headpieces close to the face.
- Model details: skin type, any sensitivities, and whether hair is natural, extensions or a wig.
- Final use: print, online, video, or all three, and how much retouching you're planning.
Planning looks in a day
The most efficient order usually goes from clean to heavy: start with fresh, minimal skin and build toward stronger eyes or lips. Going the other way means removing and redoing the base, which costs time and irritates the skin. If you need a dramatic look early, for light or location reasons, tell your artist in advance so she can plan for the reset.

Campaigns and brand content
Brand shoots and content days often combine stills and video, several outfits and more than one location. Ask for the artist to stay on for the whole session; small corrections between setups keep the look consistent across the full set of images, which matters when the client is choosing from hundreds of frames.
Testing
For a complex or unusual look, a test before the shoot day saves time on set. For straightforward beauty or fashion looks, a detailed brief and references are usually enough.

Do you work with photographers' own teams?
Yes. The artist works to the photographer's and stylist's direction; send their references and contact so everyone is briefed the same way.
Can you do hair for editorial shoots too?
Yes. Izidora does hair and makeup. For very hair-heavy stories, mention it in the brief so the timing and team can be planned.
