Personal branding shoots are for founders, coaches, speakers, creators and anyone whose face is part of the business. The pictures end up on a website, social media, a podcast cover or a conference poster. They need to look polished and still feel like you. Izidora does camera-ready makeup for campaigns, content days, portfolio shoots and personal branding, with skin-focused prep and techniques that work on photo and video.
What makes branding makeup different
Skip trends that date fast. Clean skin, groomed brows and your own lip color age well.
Profile photos are tiny. Eyes need enough definition to stay alive at that size.
Video shows movement and shine differently. Tell your artist if you're filming too.
Plan the looks before the day
Most content days have three or four outfits. Order them from soft to strong. Start with your everyday professional look, then add definition for a more editorial set, and finish with an evening look if you need one. Going the other way means taking makeup off mid-shoot, which costs time and leaves the skin red.
Example content day
- 09:00Skin prep and look 1, with hair. Your everyday professional self.
- 10:30Shooting at the first spot. The artist checks shine and hair between frames.
- 12:00Outfit change. Look 2 built on the same base: more definition, a stronger lip.
- 13:00Lunch, then a quick refresh. Lips always need redoing after food.
- 14:00Video segment. Less powder, a little more glow, hair secured for movement.
- 16:00Look 3 for evening or a bolder set, if your plan includes one.

Look like yourself
Natural, not invisible
The fear is always the same: too much makeup, or so little it doesn't show on camera. The answer is in between.
Skin should look like skin. Brows frame the face. Eyes get enough definition to read on a small screen. Lips stay in a shade you'd wear to a meeting, so people recognize you from your photo.
How to prepare
- No new skincare and no strong facial treatments in the week before.
- Brows done a few days before, not the same morning.
- Arrive with a clean, moisturized face and clean hair, unless agreed otherwise.
- Wear a button-front shirt, so nothing goes over your head after makeup.
- Send outfit photos. Colors close to the face change what suits the skin.
Men on a branding shoot
For men it's usually skin prep, a little concealer on redness and under the eyes, and a matte finish. Nobody sees makeup in the photo. They just see a rested face that doesn't shine. Shave the evening before or early that morning so the skin has time to calm down.
FAQ
Should the artist stay all day?
For a content day with several looks, yes. For a single portrait session, makeup before the start is usually enough.
Can you come to my hotel or the studio?
Yes. Izidora comes to where you're getting ready and brings professional lights.
What does it cost?
Rates are on request. They depend on the hours, number of looks, hair and location. See Brief & book for what to send.
